Browns Day

It is Browns Day and both Kiara and Mckenna's schools and I love that they are SO excited to get dressed up and go to school!

 

Ava wanted in the picture too and the girls needed to get out to the bus so I didn't notice Kiara's eyes were closed but still a cute picture!

*It is beautiful and 32 degrees right now in Strongsville, Ohio.  It is hard to believe it is December 14th and we have not had any more than a dusting of snow.  I think we are ready!!

Painting again

Now that Ava is enjoying doing art with us, we seem to be doing it a lot more often.  The other day after school we pulled out all of our paint stuff and began to create.  I say that because no matter what we think we are going to paint it turns into something completely different.

I wish I could say she lasted an hour doing this but it was more like 15 minutes!  I will still take it.  So much fun!!

Ava's first Ice Cream Cone

Ava has had A LOT of ice cream (lets not get confused) but we have always been able to help her.  Mckenna, Ava, and I were at the mall and stopped to get an ice cream cone and Ava insisted on holding the cone by herself  "Ava DO IT!!!"  I think I mentioned that she was getting more and more opinionated everyday :)! 

Alright Ava, you hold it. 

Let me just scrape off all of the ice cream off the top first!

Apparently this was Mckenna's first Ice Cream cone as well - hahaha!

She is in her PJ's because it was Pajama day at Whitney Elementary.  What a fun day!

 

Leaves

The first few days Grandma and Grandpa were here for Thanksgiving the weather was beautiful. We went out back to do a little yard work and I had to get my pictures of the girls playing in the leaves.

Harry Potter

Kiara has been exposed to the Harry Potter books in her class.  A couple of the boys in her class are reading the series and a parent read the first chapter of the first book to the class on mystery reader day.   Tom and I would have preferred waiting a little bit before Kiara began reading the series but the reality is, if we didn't encourage her at home, she probably would have started them at school (her classroom has a pretty extensive library).  So, Kiara began reading the first book on November 21st and on December 2nd finished the 2nd book. In 11 days, Kiara read over 650 pages.  All I can say is WOW......  Come to find out one of her best girl friends from Whitney and her family have been listening to the books on tape so they were both excited to talk Harry Potter.  She is so proud and has already begun the 3rd book.  I asked if she wanted to take a break and read a different book before continuing the series but that idea was quickly shot down :). 

Ava Marie

Ava is very opinionated these days.  One of the things she seems to want to control is the camera on my phone.  She has a lot of ideas about who should be in what picture.  I was just going through my pictures from the past week and surprisingly we have a lot of great pictures because of Ava - HA! The following 4 pictures were taken downstairs by Ava's request.  We did take about 15 total but I am still surprised by how cute these 4 turned out!
