My Little Buddy

Ava and I spent a lot of time together and lately we have been having A LOT of fun!  Here are some of the things we have been up to.

Ava and I on our way to the gym

Ava playing in her wagon.
Kiara and Mckenna got this for her for Christmas and is normally pulls all her friends around but sometimes she likes to go for a ride herself!

Taking the Velveteen Rabbit ("rabbit") shopping.

Chillin' watching her sisters at swim lessons

Almost every time I am in the kitchen cooking, she pulls over a chair and says "Ava help too?"
Here she is helping me put the strawberries in a bowl.

Sweet, sweet girl!

Swimming Lessons

Swimming is a great activity for us in the winter.  Kiara is in Level 4A working on her strokes.  Mckenna is in level 2.

Happy Kiara
Her favorite part is "swimming 50's"

A little unsure Mckenna
Her favorite part is "the back glide"

Last year, Ava was a handful at the pool watching swim lessons.  This year Ava is SO much fun and I really get to watch the lessons too!

She is 6!!!!

Mckenna is 6!!!!!
Mckenna is beautiful, sweet, funny (hilarious really), smart, kind, warm, and very loving.
As you can see in this picture she was so happy and excited on her 6th birthday and we had such a fun time!

Mckenna put herself upstairs while we decorated the house.  Kiara wrote on each of these balloons - Not 1, Not 2, Not 3, Not 4, Not 5, But 6!!!!!!

She wanted to help decorate the cake!
Her birthday dinner choice was Tortellini, Strawberries, and Flaky Biscuits.
Her birthday dessert was Confetti Cake with Cookie Dough Ice Cream.

When Daddy got home - life was good!!

The girls got a little carried away with putting candles on the cake!
After MC blew out the candles she said "OK, lets do it again for Ben!"  So we did as we do every birthday.  We lit the candles again and sang for Ben because this was something that he liked to do and something that we did with him.  It was special for me because this was the first time that Mckenna initiated this tradition on her own - we love you Ben.

On Saturday we had a group of girls over to our house for a birthday party for Mckenna.  The girls played, did a couple of crafts, played a game, ate pizza (Mckenna's favorite :) she had noodles), had brownies and ice cream for dessert and opened presents.  The girls had a blast!

ME:  "Mckenna do you feel 6?"
Mckenna: "Actually, I felt like I was 6 like 8 days ago!"
Love you big girl!

HOW OLD....

does this girl look?!?!
Kiara had a few minutes before the bus was coming and this is where I found her.  YIKES!!!

Doodle Bugs

Ava and I are taking a class together on Friday's called Doodle Bugs.  The class is at the Rec, so I have been able to work out first and then grab her at the day care to go to class.  When Mckenna took classes at the rec (sporties for shorties, young chefs, and more) she had the same teacher and she is so great!  Every class the kids start by singing songs and reading a book.  Then the kids move to the tables to make some sort of project.

Week 1 - Snowman
*did you know you can mix shaving cream and glue and it make this foamy mixture and when it dries it not only looks cool but is soft and puffy.  I didn't :)

Week 2 - Sports
The boys made a pennant and the girls made a cheer leading megaphone.  I was not too happy with the split up of the class (tom got a nice text from me :)) but the megaphone did turn out really cute!

After the kids do their project there are activities set up all over the room.  The activities go with the theme for the week and include puzzles, games, taking turns, and group activities.  Ava and I have been having a lot of fun!
