Mckenna's First Sleepover

I have talked about Mckenna's girl scout troop and how amazing the girls and moms all are!  Well, this seemed to be the perfect group for Mckenna to have her first sleep over with!  Mckenna had the time of her life!  They were so busy with games, art projects, making pizza, and movie night!  So busy if fact that they did not go to sleep until 1AM.  I was not very happy when I heard about this but she was fine the next day (minus the numerous meltdowns - ha)!  Mckenna's girl scout leader is great with keeping in touch with all of us overprotective moms, so she sent us pictures all night to show us what they were up to!

Games and Giggles

Ava is taking a new class at the rec this fall and it is called Games and Giggles.  Now that she is 3, she attends the classes without a parent.  It feels so weird to drop her off and say see you in 45 minutes!  Ava had a blast!

Her quote after (in her sweet little voice) was
"I just played games today. I am going to giggle next time."

Ballet/Jazz

Mckenna started Ballet and Jazz on Thursday and she loved it!  Her teacher seems so great.  Look at this little cutie!

New Rooms

We have been talking about Kiara moving into her own room for a little bit now but when Ava moved into the toddler bed, we knew a change would have to happen.  So, Kiara moved into Ava's room, Mckenna moved to the top bunk, and Ava to the bottom.  Kiara now spends a lot of her time in her room reading, drawing, and playing.  I think that has been the weirdest transition for me.  She is growing up and fast.  Kiara has actually been sleeping better on our spare bedroom bed (big surprise - it is a queen :)) and Mckenna and Ava have been enjoying it as well.

Ava's First Day of Preschool

We found a preschool for Ava that was willing to hold a spot for her until we were ready and she was ready to go.  Ava turned 3 the end of June, so she is a very young 3 year old for preschool.  She is supposed to be potty trained before going and lets just say that is a work in progress (we are hoping for success by Christmas :)).  I took Ava to open house so we could see the classroom and meet her teacher.  Ava was so cute, so happy, and fit right in!

Happy girl playing with blocks in her new classroom!

After seeing the teacher, watching Ava in her classroom and interacting with the other kids, I realized that she is ready for preschool.  Tom and I took her out to ice cream and made the decision to send her.

Here she is about to go to her first day and a picture of one of her teachers walking her in. What a big girl!
